Ten-man Kazakhstan Stun Denmark in Astana : Abat Aymbetov scored an 89th minute winner as Kazakhstan came from two goals down to secure a historic 3-2 victory over Denmark in Astana on Sunday.
Denmark took a 2-0 lead in the first half through Rasmus Højlund who netted in the 21st and 36th minutes.
It was his fifth goal in two games for the Danes following his hat trick against Finland on March 23rd in Copenhagen as Denmark won 3-1.
In the second half , the host team then staged one of the greatest comebacks in their football history. Bakhtiyor Zaynutdinov started the resurrection with his goal in the 73rd minute.
Askhat Tagybergen then made it 2-2 in the 86th minute before Abat Aymbetov clinched the winner in the 89th.
Abat Aymbetov however saw a sending off in injury time after receiving a second yellow card but that did not stop Kazakhstan from recording a famous win for their first three points of the qualification series.
