Uruguay vs Bolivia: Preview, Prediction, and Betting Tips

Uruguay and Bolivia lock horns at the MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey on Thursday during Group B’s Matchday Two of the ongoing 2024 Copa America. Ghanasportsmarket.com previews the match and walks you through the best way to wager on this contest.

Uruguay started their Copa América Group C campaign with a comfortable 3-1 win over Panama, albeit a victory that saw them strike twice late on to secure the three vital points.

La Celeste again enjoyed Darwin Núñez’s rich form, with the Liverpool forward scoring their second goal to make it nine across his last six international matches, whilst that win increased their chances of keeping their tradition of progressing from the group stages of this competition, having done so in eight of their last nine tournament appearances.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side will be confident of their chances here and making it two wins from two, having won the most recent H2H (3-0) against Bolivia in November. This is a fixture that has usually entertained fans and neutrals alike too, with seven of the last ten H2Hs witnessing one side score at least three goals in the process.

Bolivia headed into the tournament after suffering three consecutive defeats in friendlies and they again failed to step up against USA in their opening fixture (L 2-0), conceding twice in the first-half.

Antônio Carlos Zago’s side has struggled with their defensive performances of late in particular, conceding three goals in four of their last seven matches which is something that La Verde need to improve imminently if they’re to right the wrongs of failing to progress past the group stage in eight of the last nine Copa América tournaments.

That is evident from their dire run of 13 consecutive defeats in this competition, conceding at least three goals in eight of those matches.

While the problems at the back continue to cripple their performances, Bolivia haven’t done any better up front, failing to score in three of their last four matches in this competition which leaves them with a mountain to climb on matchday two.

Players to watch: Facundo Pellistri could prove to be Uruguay’s key playmaker, having contributed directly to three goals (G1, A2) across his last four matches – including assisting the opener in the most recent H2H. Bolivia’s hopes of finding a goal might hinge on Rodrigo Ramallo and any goal could prove memorable, as his seven national strikes have more often than not resulted in victory (W4, L2).

Ghana Sports Market Prediction:

Uruguay 3 Bolivia 0

Ghana Sports Market Betting Tips:

#1 – Wager on Uruguay to win and Not Both Teams to Score

#2 – Wager on Uruguay to win and Over 2.5 Goals to Be Scored

#3 – Wager on Uruguay to win Both Halves
