England and Spain will contest UEFA Euro 2024 final on Sunday at Olympiastadion in Berlin and England no.10 Jude Bellingham is already talking about the huge clash.
The midfielder helped Real Madrid to defeat his former side Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the 2024 UEFA Champions League final and is on the brink of completing a Champions League-Euro double if England can prevail against the talented Spanish team on 14th July.
Following England’s 2-1 win against Netherlands in Wednesday’s semi-final in Dortmund, Jude Bellingham discussed his team’s route to the final
“At the start of the tournament, you are looking at seven games and I think that’s the way I’ve approached it,” he said to BBC Radio 5 Live.
“Each game that’s gone by, whether it’s positive or negative, it’s one more down till we get to the final in Berlin. Now it’s just one more game.
We are tired because its been a long season but it’s one more last push for our country, for our families, for each other and for history. We will give it everything!”
“Even when they scored the first goal I didn’t think we were playing badly. We didn’t even really take a dip after we conceded, we got straight back in the rhythm of the game. I’m really happy, really proud of the boys, the reaction again the attitude, the mentality.”
“Quality is one thing but those kind of characteristics you can’t learn every day in training. You get it from everyday experience and each other.”
Meanwhile, Spain, Euro’s most successful team alongside Germany, recorded a 2-1 victory against France in the previous semi-final meeting as the sensational Lamine Yamal scored a long-range beauty to take his national team into Euro 2024 final.
