Club legend Wilberforce Mfum offers shocking advice to the new Kotoko IMC

Wilberforce Mfum Offers Shocking Advice to Kotoko IMC : Asante Kotoko legend Wilberforce Mfum wants the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Porcupine Warriors to sack all current players of the club and recruit an entirely new set of players for the 2023/24 season.

The Reds finished 4th in the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League as the team is currently undergoing changes in terms of the administration and management of the club.

The Nana Yaw Amponsah and Dr. Kwame Kyei era as Chief Executive Officer and board chairman is over as former Ghana international and Black Stars head coach Kwasi Appiah alongside Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi , coach Prosper Narteh Ogum and Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua; the Kontomponiaferehene forms the IMC.

“The players who are there are all rust-to-die players. They should let all of them go and sign new ones and if we want new ones, we have to get money. Otumfuo said he will give Kotoko money to start so we are looking upon him”

“Coaches will teach you but if you go on the field you have to apply your wisdom because on the pitch the coach will not be there with you”

“Today’s players, most of them do not have a working mind, they will get clear goalscoring opportunities “Me and you” and will miss them. Let’s just be patient with the boys, Kotoko will be great” Wilberforce Mfum said on Kessben TV.

Meanwhile the Life Patron of Asante Kotoko SC, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has reportedly handed the club a significant amount of money (600 000 GHC ) for player recruitment ahead of the upcoming season.

Ogum has returned to the team as technical boss almost a year after he resigned from his role. The Kumasi-based side have withdrawn from the upcoming GHALCA Top 4 and Bibiani Gold Stars are going to replace them.
