Xavi Brutally Fires Frank Kessie

Xavi Brutally Fires Frank Kessie : This is undoubtedly the end of Franck Kessié’s adventure at FC Barcelona. The latest news from Catalonia is not at all reassuring for the Elephant who now knows that he will have to pack up and try a new challenge elsewhere than with the Blaugrana.

The future is dark in Catalonia for Franck Kessié. The Ivorian midfielder is no longer a player who counts for FC Barcelona. The former AC Milan metronome would no longer be in the Blaugrana manager’s plans.

Xavi Hernandez seems to be clear about the midfielder.

“Kessie? I spoke with him and he knows the situation. It was a private conversation, like I have with other players. It is not pleasant to have to tell a footballer that he will not have minutes or that he will not play. But I am the coach and I have to make these decisions. Being honest and sincere may be the first, they take it badly, but in the end they end up thanking you, ”said the Spaniard coach of Barcelona.

A clear and clear message. Kessié then knows what remains to be done. The former Milan man must find a hideout as soon as possible and start pre-season preparation with his new team that he will choose.

The arrivals of Gündogan and Romeu, the two big obstacles

Arrived as a free agent at FC Barcelona on July 4, 2022, Kessié signed a contract until 2026. But his first season in the Spanish Liga was painful. He was barred by the competition in the midfield of Barça, and was not really helped in his adaptation.

He only played 43 games for a yield of 3 goals and 3 assists. And with the arrivals of Gündogan and Oriol Romeu, Kessié no longer has any good future at the club especially since after his meeting with the Catalan management, no guarantee was given to him.

Kessié could head to Saudi Arabia where Al Ahli wants to sign him but considering his young age (26 years old), the Ivorian midfielder could favor Europe. His former club AC Milan and Inter Milan are also in line to repatriate him to the Serie A.

A few months before the 2023 AFCON that his country, Côte d’Ivoire, will host, Kessié must not fail in any way when making his choice.
