2023 SWAG Elections : Franklyn Anane Gyimah wins Executive Committee contest !

Franklyn Anane Gyimah has won one of the three Executive Committee positions of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) during the 2023 SWAG Elections on Saturday.

Gyimah who is associated with the Ashanti regional branch of SWAG was successful alongside Happy FM’s Ohene-Brenya Bampoe and Tilda Elinam Acolor as Kyei Manu failed.

Acolor received 161 votes , 147 votes were made for Brenya who is a current Executive Committee member of the largest sports writers group of Ghana whilst Gyimah had 144 votes out of the 266 total valid votes cast.

Full winners of the 2023 SWAG Elections held on Saturday 21st October are as follows :

President – Kwabena Yeaboah (Unopposed)

Vice-President – Evelyn Nsiah Asare

General Secretary – Charles Osei Asibey (Unopposed)

Deputy General Secretary – Kenneth Odeng Adade

Treasurer – Owuraku Nsiah (Unopposed)

Women’s Commissioner – Mavis Amanor (Unopposed)

Executive Committee Members – Franklyn Anane Gyimah , Tilda Elinam Acolor and Ohene-Brenya Bampoe.
