Jordan Ayew Career stats: Jordan Ayew is one of Ghana’s most experienced modern forwards, known for his versatility, work rate, and longevity across top European leagues.

From his early rise at Marseille to Premier League spells with Aston Villa, Swansea City, Crystal Palace, and Leicester City, Ayew has built a career defined by consistency and adaptability.

He remains a key figure for the Ghana national team, and is expected to represent the Black Stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Jordan Ayew’s early career at Marseille (2006–2014)

According to Wikipedia, Jordan Ayew began his football journey at Olympique de Marseille, joining the French club’s academy in 2006 before signing a professional contract in 2009.

He made his senior debut on 16 December 2009, scoring an equaliser against Lorient in a 2–1 victory. His development at Marseille saw him grow alongside his brother André Ayew, and he gradually became part of the first-team setup.

One of his notable early moments came on 27 April 2011, when he scored against Nice at the Stade Vélodrome in a match where André Ayew famously scored a hat-trick.

Jordan at Aston Villa (2015–2017)

According to Sky Sports, on 27 July 2015, the Marseille-born footballer joined Aston Villa in a deal worth around £8 million. His first season in the Premier League showed flashes of quality despite the team’s struggles.

Swansea City (2017–2018)

In January 2017, the son of the legendary Abedi Ayew Pele joined Swansea City in a swap deal involving Neil Taylor.

Crystal Palace (2018–2024)
