Global sportswear manufacturer PUMA has officially introduced the new ULTRA NITRO 7, describing it as the quickest football boot the company has produced to date.
The latest addition to PUMA’s football range was first seen on the international stage during this summer’s major tournaments before its official launch.
The boot is designed for players who rely on explosive acceleration, quick changes of direction, and speed with the ball.
A major feature of the ULTRA NITRO 7 is the introduction of NITROFOAM ELITE technology, marking the first time the lightweight cushioning system has been incorporated into one of PUMA’s football boots.
According to the company, the technology is intended to provide greater energy return during movement, helping players feel more responsive with every stride.
PUMA executives believe the launch represents another significant step in the brand’s football innovation, with the boot engineered to deliver a lighter feel while maintaining stability and close ball control during high-speed play.
The upper has also been redesigned using a lighter construction, allowing players to reduce weight without sacrificing support or touch. The company says the development process was heavily influenced by feedback from professional footballers.
Africa remains central to PUMA’s football strategy, with the company highlighting its long-standing partnerships with several national football associations, including Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, and Egypt.
PUMA believes the continent continues to produce many of the world’s most exciting and dynamic players, making the ULTRA NITRO 7 particularly relevant for the next generation of African talent.
The new boot will also be available in a laceless model, while a version specifically designed for women has been developed with a shape tailored to the anatomy of the female foot while retaining the same performance technology.
The ULTRA NITRO 7 forms part of PUMA’s latest football collection alongside updated editions of the FUTURE and KING boot ranges, each targeting different playing styles, from speed-focused attackers to creative midfielders and all-round performers.
Several high-profile PUMA athletes are expected to wear the new boots, including Neymar Jr., Marc Cucurella, Xavi Simons, Cody Gakpo, Christian Pulisic, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ibrahim Sangare, Morgan Rogers, and Samir El Mourabet.
The ULTRA NITRO 7 is now available through PUMA stores, the brand’s online platform, and selected retail outlets across Africa.
