Asante Kotoko registered their first victory of the season against Accra Lions on Monday during Week Four of the Ghana Premier League and it was striker Kalo Ouattara who netted the only goal of the game.
Ouattara joined the Porcupine Warriors from Berekum Chelsea this season. He came off the bench in the 60th minute to replace Steven Mukwala before going on to head home the winning goal in the 90 + 9 minute at the Accra sports stadium against Lions.
The former Berekum Chelsea attacker has now made a bold statement regarding Sunday’s huge clash against Aduana FC during Week 5 of the Ghana Premier League.
“Sunday we have a game against Aduana and what I want to tell the supporters is that they should come to the stadium in numbers and we promise that we are going to do the job for them”
“In football when start to have difficulties at the early part of the season it is sometimes a blessing in disguise and you can improve the season as it progresses but when you start and you are winning , you may be somehow complacent and so it is good for us we will keep on improving. We are praying things continue like this for us.”
