According to the latest NBA Power Rankings, San Antonio Spurs, winners of the NBA Championships in 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014 are expected to win this season’s ultimate title.
The Spurs led all five games of the 2026 Finals against the Knicks by at least 12 points and made criticial mistakes in the Games 2 and 4 as the Eastern Conference champions overpowered them to win the best-of-seven-series by four games to one.
The second favourite is Oklahoma City Thunder. According to the forecast, Jalen Williams’ return could inspire them to their second NBA Finals triumph after their maiden championship in 2025 when they defeated the Indiana Pacers.
According to the NBA prediction, reigning champions, The Knicks, are not expected to stage a repeat. Though they remain the team to beat in the East, they are unlikely to show the same basketball form that they exhibited last season.
The fourth team on the Power Rankings is three-time NBA winners, the Philadelphia 76ers. Arguably the most entertaining team in the league, the Sixers, crammed with talents like LeBron James, Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, and VJ Edgecombe, are a side to keep an eye on.
