Tamale City CEO Declares War Against Aduana : Chief Executive Officer of Tamale City Mr. Iddi Mohammed has sent a strong message to Aduana FC that they will give them a taste of their own medicine the next time the Ogya Boys visit Tamale after their ordeal in Dormaa on Sunday April 2nd.
“What happened at Dormaa was very bad and I can say this will continue to happen till one of us throws in the towel. For what happened to us , we will pay them back till one of us throw in the towel” , Iddi Mohammed is quoted by Sunyani-based Sompa FM on Monday.
Meanwhile the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has swiftly banned Aduana FC from playing at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Stadium indefinitely after the pathetic incidents of April 2nd that occurred after the Aduana FC 1 Tamale City 0 Week 25 Ghana Premier League match.
“The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association has ordered a temporary ban on Aduana FC from using the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park as its home venue with immediate effect.” , the GFA announced on Monday morning.
The statement continued :
“This decision has become necessary due to the unfortunate incidents that occurred after the Match day 25 between Aduana FC and Tamale City FC (outside the park) played on April 2, 2023.
The decision is in accordance with the GFA Premier League Regulations Article 14(2) which states inter alia “the GFA may order the closure of any league centre where the safety of clubs, Match Officials or Spectators cannot be guaranteed.”’
The Competitions Department is therefore advised to determine the venue for the Club’s subsequent home matches in accordance with Article 14(3) Premier League Regulations.
This order is however is without prejudice to the determination of the case pending before the Disciplinary Committee who have been charged to hear the case in accordance with the relevant Regulations.” , the GFA statement concluded.
Moreover Iddi Mohammed reveals that the club has officially filed a police complaint and will subsequently inform the GFA on Monday.
“We have reported the incident to the Odumase Police Station in Sunyani. We will officially report to the Ghana Football Association today.” , the Tamale City CEO added.
Aduana needed a 95th minute penalty to defeat Tamale City FC by 1-0 as the continue to lead the league standings on 44 points collected from 25 games now.
