Hearts of Oak 2 King Faisal 0 : Late goals from playmakers Salifu Ibrahim and Linda Mtange as Phobians clinch 12th victory of the season

Hearts of Oak Defeat King Faisal in Accra on April 29th , 2023 : Hearts of Oak recorded their 12th victory of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season after edging out King Faisal FC on Saturday night in a Week 29 encounter.

Playmakers Salifu Ibrahim and Linda Mtange scored two quick-fire late goals to defeat the Insha Allahu Side at the Accra Sports Stadium. The defeat was the second for new Faisal head coach Ignatius Osei Fosu.

Gladson Awako charged through the midfield in a brilliant fashion to locate Cameroon striker Albert Eonde Dieudonne on the left.

The striker then squared then ball into the area for Salifu Ibrahim to easily tap in for the first goal of the match in the 89th minute.

In the 90 + 2 minute , Dennis Korsah delivered a great ball once again into the King Faisal area. Albert Eonde miskicked his attempt but Congolese playmaker Linda was at the right place at the right time to slot home the second of the night for David Ocloo’s side.

Richard Attah returned to the Hearts of Oak starting line – up for the first time since 12th June 2022 and it was a good day for the former first choice keeper of the Phobians as he kept a clean sheet.
