Abagna and Imoro play for Al-Hilal

Abagna and Imoro play for Al-Hilal : Al-Hilal Omdurman of Sudan were defeated by Mamelodi Sundowns during the opening round of matches of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League group stages. 

Mailula Cassius reacted quickest following a rebound to slot home the only goal of the encounter at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

Former Asante Kotoko left back Ibrahim Imoro lasted the full duration of the match whilst David Abagna formerly of Ashantigold SC and Real Tamale United was substituted off in the 64th minute as the Sudanese side failed to restore parity.

The 23-year old Imoro joined Al -Hilal from the Porcupine Warriors after helping the latter win the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.

Meanwhile Abagna who was part of the Black Galaxies of Ghana team at the African Nations Championship in Algeria joined the Sudan giants after playing some of matches in the first round of the Ghana Premier League with Real Tamale United.

Al-Hilal will now meet Al-Ahly for their second group game on February 26th in Omdurman.
