“Surely we will win both the League and the FA Cup” – Aduana Stars striker Isaac Mintah makes bold claim

Aduana Stars Target The Double : Aduana Stars striker Isaac Mintah has made a bold claim about the title ambitions of the Ogya Side following their 2-0 master-class against Hearts of Oak on Sunday at the Accra Sports stadium.

The two-time Ghana champions were too strong for the Phobians as Mintah netted twice to win the Week 18 encounter for the visitors who lead the league standings with 35 points , 5 more than second-placed Bechem United.

The current form of Aduana Stars means they are genuine title contenders this season and Mintah has said the following words :

“Surely we want to win both the league and the FA Cup. We will win both titles. We are not looking at what other teams are doing.

If they are winning we are also winning our matches but at the end of the season we shall see who wins the league title”.

There are still 16 matches to complete the 18-club Ghana Premier League season and Mintah and Aduana Stars definitely know that they will need more than consistency in terms of performance and results if they are to realize their double ambition.

Meanwhile in the FA Cup , the Ogya Boys welcome Asante Kotoko to the Nana Agyeman Badu Park on Sunday during a mouth-watering Round of 16 clash.

Kotoko are second most successful side in the Ghana FA Cup history after Hearts of Oak whilst Aduana Stars have never won the Cup competition.
