FROM SOUTHAMPTON TO AS MONACO : This is how much Mohammed Salisu was bought for !

AS Monaco Buy Mohammed Salisu for 15 million Euros : In an official announcement made this Tuesday evening, AS Monaco revealed that they have reached an agreement with Southampton Football Club for the acquisition of the talented Ghanaian central defender, Mohammed Salisu.

The 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Monegasque club, tying him until June 2028.

AS Monaco have successfully secured the services of Mohammed Salisu and the transfer fee is €15 million , making him a significant investment for the club. This acquisition demonstrates Monaco’s growing ambition to strengthen its workforce in order to face the challenges ahead.

“AS Monaco is pleased to announce the arrival of central defender Mohammed Salisu from Southampton Football Club. The Ghanaian international, 24, has signed up for 5 seasons and is now linked with the Monegasque club until June 2028”, is it written in the official press release published on the AS Monaco website this Tuesday evening. .

Salisu, who is also a Ghanaian international, is considered one of the best centre-backs of his generation. He will bring his experience and his undeniable talent to the defense of AS Monaco, thus strengthening the defensive capacities of the team.

The sports director of AS Monaco, as well as the coach of the team, said they were delighted with this promising acquisition. They underlined that Salisu will fit perfectly into the team’s system of play, and that he will undoubtedly contribute to the club’s ambition to rise to the top of the table.
