Black Stars Players Display RIP Christian Atsu Banner : The Black Stars players posed with a “RIP Christian Atsu” banner during their maiden training session at the Kumasi Babayara sport stadium on Tuesday.

The funeral of the late Christian Atsu took place last Friday March 17th in Accra.

The invited Black Stars players to contest the Angola qualifiers only arrived in the country last Monday meaning they could not be in town earlier to attend the funeral rites of the former Ghana international winger.

Nevertheless the team captained by Andre Ayew displayed the huge banner at the Babayara stadium as they sympathized once again with the family of the late footballer.

The Black Stars take on Angola on Thursday as their Match-Day Three fixture of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification series before traveling to Luanda for the reverse match four days later.

Ghana and the Palancas Negras are on 4 points each after two games played and the next two games are crucial for both national teams.

The West Africa nation has failed to win the Africa Cup of Nations since their 1982 success in Libya.
