Asante Kotoko have taken the lead against FC Samartex 1996 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena thanks to Enock Morrison’s strike.
The midfielder received a clever ball from Richmond Lamptey in the Samartex area and delivered a powerful left-footed effort that beat goalkeeper Lawrence Ansah.
Kotoko left back Nicholas Osei Bonsu initiated the attack on left side and found Lamptey as the Kotoko players neatly interchanged passes resulting in the Morrison opener.
In the 26th minute Kotoko custodian Frederick Asare produced a great save to deny Emmanuel Keyekeh.
Rocky Dwamena made it 2-0 for the Porcupine Warriors in the 28th minute.
