In an interview with Sky Sports, the former midfielder of the German champions Bastian Schweinsteiger urged the English striker to make the right choice for his career.
Tottenham’s leading scorer for many years, Harry Kane (29 years) has not yet had the chance to see his good performances be rewarded with the addition of a prestigious trophy (Premier League or European Cup) to his list.
Still owner of a high-ranking season in the Premier League where he scored 30 goals in 2022/23, the Englishman will however not have the chance to play in a European Cup this season, due to the sad 8th place of his team.
That will be the case if Kane stays at Spurs, which may not happen. Desired by Bayern Munich for several weeks, Kane saw the Bavarian legend Bastian Schweinsteiger invite him to make the right choice for the good of his career :
“Does he want to win something? A championship or a big cup? And there, he must also ask himself the question of whether he wants to take the step now. He may have more chances at Bayern Munich than at Tottenham. He is an excellent player, ” he explained to Sky Sports.
Kane does not close the door at PSG
Under contract until June 2024 with Tottenham, Kane seems likely to leave London this summer, but not necessarily to join Germany, to the chagrin of Schweinsteiger.
As revealed by RMC Sport, Kane is in the sights of PSG. If no agreement has yet been reached with the Englishman, the latter is seriously considering this option, even if he already has a contractual agreement with Bayern Munich.
For his part, President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is optimistic on this issue, and already imagines Kane with the Parisian jersey. The player’s wife even have discreetly inquired about an accommodation in Paris. A situation that annoys the German champion, reluctant to push an offer up to 100M€.
