Hearts beaten in Dormaa

Hearts beaten in Dormaa: Aduana Stars recorded a narrow victory over Hearts of Oak during the opening week of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League on Sunday as Caleb Amankwah saw red.

Ever-reliable striker Bright Adjei scored the only goal of the encounter in the 48th minute. The goal was assisted by Sam Adams with Solomon Aboagye heavily involved too.

Amankwah , former Aduana Stars defender , did not enjoy a good visit to his former home venue as he was sent off with two minutes from time for a second yellow card received.

Central Africa Republic striker Hassan Ouatching started his first official match for the Phobians. He missed a free header from a corner kick in the 4th minute and it was the first big chance of the game.

In the 7th minute , Aduana starts almost scored from a goal mouth melee but Hearts of Oak cleared their lines.

Aduana came close again as Adjei lofted a ball over goalkeeper Ofori Antwi but his effort narrowly missed the target.

Dennis Korsah rattled the cross bar in the 42nd minute but it was Bright Adjei who succeeded in shaking the net three minutes into the second half.
