Karela United Defeat Aduana : Karela United recorded a 1-0 victory against league leaders Aduana Stars during Week 13 of the betPawa Ghana Premier League on Sunday thanks to Evans Adomako’s solitary strike.
The on-loan Asante Kotoko striker produced the only goal of the game in the 76th minute as Karela United imposed a third defeat of the season on the Ogya Boys.
The defeat is the first of Aduana Stars since the transfer of their leading attacker Bright Adjei to Tanzania side Singida Big Stars on Friday.
Despite the loss , the two-time winners of the Ghana Premier League are topping the league standings with 24 points after 13 matches. Hearts of Oak who drew at home against Samartex FC are second placed with 21 points whilst Bechem United are third with 20 points.
Kotoko on 20 points at the 4th position play against Gold Stars in Bibiani on Monday.
