King Faisal Reportedly Win Appeal Case To Avoid Relegation : King Faisal Football Club have reportedly won their appeal case in relation to their protest against Tamale City over the use of an unqualified player in their Week 30 Premier League match.
The Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee , last two weeks , dismissed Faisal’s protest but following their appeal , GhanaSportsMarket.com has been reliably informed that the Insha Allahu Boys have succeeded this time around.
“The GFA Disciplinary Committee (GFA DC) has dismissed King Faisal FC’s protest case against Tamale City FC in relation to their betPawa Premier League Matchweek 30 game which was played at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
King Faisal FC protested against their opponent for fielding an unqualified player,Isaac Mensah in the said match who they claim has another registration in the system as Jireh Kojo Nissi.
The Disciplinary Committee however ruled that the player Isaac Mensah who played in the said match was duly qualified to play.
The GFA Prosecutor has however been tasked to investigate the registration of Jireh Kojo Nissi and locate and charge all guilty parties in his registration.
The decision has been communicated to all parties accordingly.” , the GFA DC stated last two weeks.
Tamale City won the match in question by 4-0 on 6th May , 2023 in Tamale and if Faisal were to be awarded a 3-0 win as winners of the protest , that will mean the team of Alhaji Grusah will move from the 17th position (from 42 points ion 34 games to 45 points in 34 matches ) on the final leagues standings of the 2022/23 Ghana league season.
This will be so as King Faisal have better head to head records over both Great Olympics (45 points in 34 games) and Accra Lions (45 points in 34 games).
Meanwhile Lions in turn have better head to head records against Olympics meaning the Wonder Club could be in danger as the third team , aside Kotoku Royals and Tamale City , to be relegated from the Ghanaian top-flight.
