Kwame Poku Scores Second Kotoko Goal: Kwame Poku has wasted no time in settling at Asante Kotoko in his second stint after finding the back of the net in his first two games with the Reds.

The former Kotoko attacker produced 7 goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for the Porcupine Warriors in his debut season of 2020/21 before making the move to North Africa.

After representing Algeria’s USM Alger without much success, the goal poacher rejoined his former side and has settled in Prosper Ogum’s formation seamlessly.

Poku opened the scoring in Kotoko’s away draw at Medeama on Sunday when rising highest to plant a superb header into the top left corner in the 44th minute before Kamaradini Mamudu equalized for the Yellow and Mauves in the 68th.

The Kotoko forward was paired in attack with Albert Amoah who has scored 7 goals this season, but the latter picked up an injury and was replaced in the 36th minute.

Kwame Poku, who has 1 cap for the Black Stars of Ghana, was on the score sheet in his second Kotoko debut in the 2-0  home win against Gold Stars on Friday, 27th December last year.

Kotoko are now undefeated in their last six with five wins and one draw. The Warriors sit 6th with 28 points after 16 games, two points adrift of joint league leaders Heart of Lions and Bibiani Gold Stars.
