Kylian Mbappe Reconsidering His PSG Future : The summer looks set to be a hot one in Paris. Kylian Mbappe is seriously reconsidering his future at PSG, according to L’Equipe.
In the renewal deal he signed just over a year ago with the French club, a clause was included whereby he could unilaterally renew until June 2025.
The contract he signed with PSG was actually for two fixed seasons plus an optional one and not three as the French club’s officials initially announced.
Mbappe has until July 31, 2023 to make the additional season effective and remain tied to his club until 2025, but according to the French daily, this is not going to happen.
“The scenario is different,” says L’Equipe, which stresses that he already asked the board to leave in the autumn because of disagreements, although the tension between the two sides has subsided.
The situation, therefore, is once again tremendously complex for PSG’s directors, who see that their main star will once again be on the exit ramp this summer, with only one year left on his contract and with the certain intention of not continuing beyond 2024.
According to L’Equipe, PSG remain confident of Mbappe’s continuity. After failing in the Champions League for another season, the club’s intention is to prepare a new project around the French star, without the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar.
