betPawa GPL Week 24 : Legon Cities could drop to the relegation zone if they lose against Kotoko on Thursday

Legon Cities vs Asante Kotoko on Thursday March 30th : Legon Cities could see their position on the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League standings change from the 15th position to the relegation zone if they lose at home against Asante Kotoko on Thursday and King Faisal and Tamale City record victories in their Week 24 matches.

Cities , who are managed by former Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu , are 15th on the league table with 27 points taken from 23 matches played.

The teams placed at the 16th , 17th and 18th positions on the league table are King Faisal FC , Tamale City and Kotoku Royals respectively.

The Insha Allahu Side and Tamale City have collected 25 points each from 22 and 23 games played in that order.

King Faisal take on Karela United in a home match at Abrankese at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Wednesday whilst the Tamale side play at home against Nsoatreman FC.

Should Faisal and Tamale City win their home games today  , both sides will reach 28 points each.  This means Legon Cities would be under pressure to win their home game against Asante Kotoko tomorrow in order to stay away from the relegation mire after Week 24.

Meanwhile the form of Cities is of great concern to Konadu and his players who have won just a game in their last seven Premier League matches. That win came at the El Wak stadium on 20th March against league leaders Aduana FC.

On the other side , Asante Kotoko fans expect to see a positive reaction following the 2-0 home defeat their team suffered against Medeama SC on Sunday at the Babayara stadium.

Head coach Seydou Zerbo was fired the next day and Abdulai Gazale has been appointed as interim head coach.
