Medeama Defeat Karela United to Go Second : Medeama SC continue to get positive results under head coach Augustine Evans Adotey who replaced Umar Rabi on March 13th as the Yellow and Mauves imposed a 1-0 defeat against Karela United on Sunday.
Rabi was the head coach but Adotey took a position of technical director cum head coach of the the club of Moses Armah Parker on 13th March 2023.
Skipper of the side Vincent Atingah made the difference once again for his team in the 28th minute with a penalty effort.
Atingah is reputed to be a penalty expert in the Ghana Premier League and he proved that one more time at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.
The veteran trainer Adotey lined up Felix Kyei in goal as usual. Nurudeen Abdulai and Vincent Atingah played as the center backs as the duo continue to show why they are one of the best central defensive partnerships of the league.
Kwadwo Amoako , Manuel Mantey , Derrick Fordjour , Hamidu Abdul Fatawu , Jean Vital Ourega , Theophilus Anobah , Joshua Agyemang and Jonathan Sowah completed the starting line up for Medeama.
The win is the fourth for Adotey at Medeama after the victories against Great Olympics , Asante Kotoko and Gold Stars as the tram remains undefeated under the experienced Ghana gaffer.
Medeama now go second on the league standings with 44 points taken from 26 matches played as Aduana FC lead the race with their 47 points in 26 games played.
