Mozambique vrs Ghana : The first leg match of the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations Second Round qualifier between Mozambique and Ghana ended 2-1 in favour of the Black Meteors.
Hearts of Oak attacker Afriyie Barnieh scored a penalty brace to hand Ghana a first leg advantage.

64th minute : Penalty for Ghana and Afriyie Barnieh steps forward to successfully convert. 1-0 for Ghana.
65th minute : Substitutions for Ghana. David Oppong Afriyie’s place is taken by Abdul Razak Yusuf and Suraj Seidu goes out for Emmanuel Adjei to come in.
76th minute : Another penalty for Ghana and once again the captain of the Black Meteors Afriyie Barnieh successfully converts it. 2-0 for Ghana.
88th minute : The home team pulls one back. 2-1 now.
89th minute : Substitutions for Ghana. Hagan Frimpong comes on fro Afriyie Barnieh and Ishmael Dede for Sylvester Simba.
