“Dr. Kwame Kyei is ready to accept Kotoko board chairman role again”- A Manhyia royal has revealed !

Nana Coker On Kwame Kyei Retention as Kotoko Board Chairman : Nana Gyambibi Coker , a former personal assistant to Asante Kotoko executive board chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei says the oil mogul would happily accept to lead the next board of directors of the Porcupine Warriors.

Coker , who is connected to the Manhyia Royal Family , became general manager of the club in January 2020 and is known to have close ties with Dr. Kyei.

As GhanaSportsMarket.com reported earlier on Sunday , Kwame Kyei could be retained as chairman of the new Kotoko board expected to be announced by Mahyia Palace anytime soon.

“For now I will Dr. Kwame Kyei is my father , I cannot confirm or deny that he (Dr. Kwame Kyei) could be retained as the board chairman of made the executive chairman of Kotoko” , Nana Gyambibi is quoted by Akoma FM.

“I have seen and read speculations in the media to that effect but I am unable to speak to that news. Let me use this occasion to clear the wrong impression on the actual owner of Nations Football Club. Nations FC is not for Dr. Kyei but rather it is for his two children. The Dr. Kwame Kyei stadium is his personal property. The main reason he bought the stadium was to serve the interest of Kotoko.” , Coker stated.

“Should his Royal Majesty call on him anytime , he Dr. Kyei will happily and willingly accept the call. He cannot turn his back on Manhyia as a true son of Asanteman and a servant of the Golden Stool”
