Nigeria beat USA

Nigeria beat USA : Nigeria U-17 Women’s National Team defeated their USA counterparts by 4-3 on penalties to reach the semi-finals of the on-going FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in India.

The game ended 1-1 after regular time and penalty shoot-out was used to separate the two teams immediately per the tournament and rules and regulations.

Omamuzo Edafe scored for the Flamingos in the 27th minute before Amelia Villarreal equalized for the Americans in the 40th.

Tanzania , the only other African team at the tournament , play their quarter-finals match against Colombia on Saturday.

Nigeria will meet the winner of the Tanzania – Colombia tie in the semi-finals.
