Samartex 1 Kotoko 2 Player Ratings

Samartex 1 Kotoko 2 Player Ratings : Asante Kotoko recorded a 2-1 victory over FC Samartex 1996 in their Week 22 league encounter on Saturday afternoon in Samreboi with goals from Enock Morrison and Rocky Dwamena.

It was the first away win for the champions in 2023 and the second home defeat of the season for the league debutants.

GhanaSportsMarket.com has rated the performances of players of both teams.

FC Samartex Player Ratings :

GK Lawrence Ansah – 6/10 : Conceded two goals. Difficult for him to stop Morrison and Dwamena.

RB Ebenezer Acquah – 6/10 : Scored his side’s goal but struggled against Richmond Lamptey and left back Nicholas Osei Bonsu.

LB Isaac Afful – 6/10 : Was just okay.

CB James Sewornu – 7/10 : Voted official Man of the Match with a fine display but cannot stop Kotoko from scoring two times against his team. He and Abusah failed to deal with the ball in the area that resulted in the second goal for the visitors.

CB Godwin Abusah – 6/10 : Culpable for Kotoko’s second goal alongside Sewornu.

DM Enoch Afful – Not Rated as he was substituted in the 32nd minute.

CM Francis Gyetuah – 6/10 : Replaced Afful in the 32nd minute and Added more attacking bite to Samartex.

CM Emmanuel Keyekeh – 7/10 : Did his best but it was not a good day for him to make a difference for his team.

CM Seidu Dauda Yussif – 7/10 : Controlled the midfield battle during many periods of the game.

LF Osei Owusu Evans – 7/10 : As animated as always but he failed to avoid a home defeat for his club.

RF Isaac Opoku Agyemang – 6/10 : Showed some promise but did not do any big things in the match.

CF Giyasu Ibrahim – 6/10 : Silent for most parts of the game.

Asante Kotoko Player Ratings :

GK Frederick Asare – 8/10 : Made several big saves to deny the opponents from scoring. Not to be blamed for the goal he conceded.

RB Sheriff Mohammed – 7/10 : Mr. Versatile produced a big game at right back.

CB Andrews Kwadwo Appau – 8/10 : Fine performance.

CB Mohammed Alhassan – 8/10 : Great performance. He and Appau did well.

LB Nicholas Osei Bonsu – 8/10 : Started the attack on the left that resulted in the opening goal for Kotoko.

CM Richard Boadu – 7/10 : Held the ball and passed it around with finesse.

LM Richmond Lamptey – 8/10 : Man of the match performance from Lamptey. Should have won the MVP award.

RM Enock Morrison – 7/10 : Scored a great opening goal but was not much involved in the overall play of his team.

RF Georges Mfegue – 6/10 : Tried to make things happen all the time but that did not happen.
