Al-Hilal Omdurman : Injured Ghana defender Ibrahim Imoro undergoes scan

Ibrahim Imoro Undergoes Scan at Al-Hilal : Al-Hilal and Ghana defender Ibrahim Imoro underwent a scan after picking an injury against Mamelodi Sundowns during Saturday’s CAF Champions League encounter at the Al Hilal Stadium.

The influential left-back went out injured in the 33rd minute and his place was taken by Faris Abdalla.

“Mowaffaq Siddique and Ibrahim Imoru underwent medical examinations to determine the injury they sustained in the Sundowns match” , Al Hilal confirmed on Saturday night.

The Sudan side failed to win at home against the South African team as the Match-Day Five match ended 1-1.

The People’s Club were awarded a stoppage time penalty but Ethar El Tahir failed to convert as goalkeeper Ronwen Williams saved his effort.

Florent Ibenge and his players now travel to Cairo to take on Al Ahly for their final group match. Sundowns on 11 points in 5 games have qualified to the quarter-finals already.

Meanwhile Al-Hilal (10 points in 5 games) who defeated Ahly (7 points in 5 games) by 1-0 in Omdurman know that they must avoid a big defeat in Cairo on March 31st because head to head rule applies in terms of the tie breaking criteria of the group stages of the Champions League.
