Samuel Eto’o Loses Dad in Cameroon : Samuel Eto’o the President of the Cameroon Football Federation has lost his father David Eto’o on Monday April 17 after a falling sick.
The Eto’o family is in mourning.
David Eto’o, father of six children including Samuel the FC Barcelona and Inter Milan great has passed away as reported by the local press in Cameroon.
According to a family source, David Eto’o, not to be confused with his son David, who has the exact same first and last name was battling sickness for some time now.
A few years ago, Samuel Eto’o emphasized the importance of his dad who was an accountant by profession, in his life and successful soccer career.
In November 2015, the former FC Barcelona striker declared all the love he had for his father on his Facebook account.
“You always took me by the hand to show me the way to go. You made me the man I am today by transmitting to me values of love, sharing and work.
When we are younger, they frame us, protect us and give us everything they hold dear, so when we grow up we never miss an opportunity to return the favor to them and say a simple “I like”. I love you daddy!”, wrote the legend of the Indomitable Lions.
For the moment, the former Cameroonian international (118 caps, 56 goals) has not spoken following this tragic loss on Monday.
It is imagined that Samuel Eto’o will spend some time with family before speaking publicly.
