Former Black Stars Management Committee Member Moses Armah Parker believes Ghana will make it to the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States of America, Mexico, and Canada.

The four-time African champions have been grouped with Mali, Comoros, Central African Republic, Madagascar, and Chad in Group I.

Many have labeled the group as a tricky one with former Black Stars players advising the team to do away with complacency to sail through given their recent poor performances.

However, Parker, who is currently the president of Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC, believes the group is easy and that Ghana would qualify for the World Cup.

“Personally, I think the draw favours Ghana. There is no way Ghana will not go to the World Cup,” he told Adom FM as seen on 3news.com.

He did, however, urge the public to unite behind the team’s head coach, Chris Hughton who took over not too long ago to steer the Black Stars to success.

“Chris Hughton just took up the job and we need to offer him our support. We also need to prepare well and put measures in place,” he said.

The Black Stars are attempting to qualify for their fifth World Cup after appearing in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022 in Germany, South Africa, Brazil, and Qatar, respectively.

The qualifiers are expected to begin in November.
