Hafiz Wontah To Undergo Al-Hilal Medical in Dubai : Bechem United striker Hafiz Wontah Konkoni is expected to undergo a medical test at Al – Hilal Omdurman as the two clubs finalize the transfer of the the second-top scorer of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
Sources at the Ghanaian club have told GhanaSportsMarket.com that the medical would take place in Dubai this week and if everything go on well as planned , the striker would join Hilal’s pre-season in Tunisia.
Wontah Konkoni netted 15 goals in 25 league games for the Hunters last season as United finished third on the final league standings of the betPawa Ghana Premier League.
The reliable goal scorer was the only home-based player called to the Black Stars for the 2023 AFCON qualifier against Madagascar by Ghana boss Chris Hughton.
The 23-year old has been one of the consistent performers in the country’s top-flight soccer competition as the Sudanese giants show great interest in luring him from the GPL.
A number of clubs were actually lined up for the signature of the Ghana forward including Hearts of Oak and Medeama but both the player and the club prefer a transfer to a foreign side.
Al-Hilal failed to reach the knockout stages of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League and they know that they must strengthen their squad for the upcoming season and Hafiz Wontah Konkoni fits the bill.
