Thomas Partey will be 30 years old next month and his time at the top level could be coming to and end !

Thomas Partey Will Soon Turn 30 : Normally in football , especially for top European football clubs , the age of thirty is the the time that players slow down in terms of physique and consistent top performances and Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey will soon turn 30.

Few players have ever proven to be the exceptions to this cliche.

The former Atletico Madrid man has been a key part of the Arsenal team this season as they chase for their first Premier League title since 2003/04 even though it is unlikely for the Gunners to realize that dream as Manchester City are the favorites.

Regardless of the outcome of the title race , Mikel Arteta and his players have had a respectable run in the Premier League this season.

Even though Partey has been an influential player for his team this season , he has lost his starting place to former Chelsea and Napoli midfielder Jorginho and that is not a good news for the Ghanaian who goes into next season as a thirty year old footballer.

The deputy Black Stars captain has appeared in 31 matches in the Premier League this term.

He did 24 league games each in the two previous seasons but as Arsenal will definitely make reinforcements to their squad for the 2023/24 season , we are not sure he is going to be a sure bet to start every important key game considering the fact that he might be over the hill.

On 5 October 2020, Premier League club Arsenal announced the signing of Partey on a long-term contract, after activating his £45 million (€50 million) release clause with Atlético Madrid.

He was given the number 18 shirt, which had been vacated by Nacho Monreal the previous season.

Upon signing, Partey stated his desire to help Arsenal “back where [they] belong”, describing his decision to move being based on “[wanting] to experience new challenges”, while also crediting the transfer to manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu.

On 13th June this year , Thomas will be celebrate his 30th birthday and is contracted to Arsenal till June 2025.
