Victor Osimhen Equals Eto’o Record : SSC Napoli striker Victor Osimhen netted twice against Torino on Sunday to equal one of the biggest records of soccer legend Samuel Eto’o.
Napoli hammered Torino by 4-0 with the Nigeria striker scoring two headed goals in the 9th and 51st minutes for his 20th and 21st goals of the Serie A season.
He thus joins the former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker as the only African players to have scored at least 21 goals in a single Serie A season and definitely with 11 more games to end the league season Osimhen will set up a new record.
Eto’o netted his 21 goals in 35 matches in the 2010/11 season for Inter Milan whilst the former Lille attacker has done so in just 23 games for Napoli this term.
