2022/23 Ligue 1 : Top 10 full-backs revealed in France but Alidu Seidu is no where near the ranking !

Alidu Seidu Does Not Make Top 10 Full-Backs List : At the end of the season, 90min takes stock of the 2022-2023 season. In this article, you will discover the ranking of the ten best full-backs in Ligue 1 but Ghana’s Alidu Seidu of Clermont did not make the cut.

The 23-year old who came into prominence in Ghana during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar made 28 league appearances for Clermont Foot in the just ended Ligue 1 season.

Clermont Foot finished at 8th position at the end of the French championship and Alidu was outstanding as a key first team player.

However , it appears there are too much competition for the Black Stars defender at his position as he fails to get a mention in this rich list.

Top 10 Full-Backs of the 2022/23 Ligue 1 Season by 90min.com :

10. Sael Kumbedi – Olympique Lyonnais

9. Nuno Tavares – Olympique de Marseille

8. Adrien Truffert – Stade Rennais

7. Deiver Machado – RC Lens

6. Nicolas Tagliafico – Olympique Lyonnais

5. Achraf Hakimi – Paris Saint-Germain

4. Nuno Mendes – Paris Saint-Germain.

3. Caio Henrique – AS Monaco.

2. Przemysław Frankowski – RC Lens

1. Jonathan Clauss – Olympique de Marseille

The big winner of the ranking is none other than Jonathan Clauss. The Olympique de Marseille player has certainly had ups and downs, following in particular a drop in speed in the second half of the season, but he is still the reference right back in France.

Ultra decisive for his first season with Marseille (9 assists, 2 goals), the French international has, according to the editorial staff, deserved this title of best full-back of the season in Ligue 1.
