NASCO MVP : The selection process of the NASCO Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards has been reviewed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the new format takes effect immediately.
Three separate persons from three different categories will now be responsible for the selection of the Most Valuable Player of matches of the top three leagues of the GFA – the betPawa Ghana Premier League , the Acces Bank Division One League and the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
The three categories of persons are : an accredited media person , a retired footballer / fan and a licenced coach. If a retired footballer is not available at a league venue , a fan is picked as a replacement.
These three persons are expected to be randomly selected by the venue media officers of respective league centres.
According to the GFA , these voting persons are expected to be changed on each match-day.
The key criteria for selecting the man of the match is the players influence and command on the game including but not limited to :
1.Progressive passes made
2.Goals scored
3.Assists made
4.Saves made ( for goalkeepers)
5.Interceptions
6.Control of the game
