2022/23 GPL Goal King Race : Wontah Konkoni nets 10th goal of the season as he joins Mezack at the top of the chart

Chris Hughton Hails Hafiz Wontah’s Maturity : Chris Hughton says he has enjoyed watching Hafiz Konkoni since he has been here as Coach of the Black Stars.

The Bechem United forward joined the full training on Tuesday after joining the squad on Monday following a late call up.

Konkoni, scored 15 goals for the Hunters in the just ended betPawa Premier League and put in splendid performances to catch the eye of the former Newcastle United and Brighton manager.

“I was fortunate to watch him live last weekend. I have been able to watch him on video. I thought he did well today [in training]. It wasn’t a surprise because he is a player I have enjoyed watching.

He is a young player, so I think he has a lot of development still. Speaking to him, I think he is quite a mature player for his age.”

Konkoni, May make his Ghana debut against Madagascar on Sunday.
