Charles Taylor Says He was Never Benched at Hearts of Oak : Former Ghana international footballer Charles Kweku Bismark Taylor has revealed that he played all matches in all competitions during his three-year stay at Hearts of Oak.
Taylor made big name in the country playing for Great Olympics , Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko. He was a player of the Rainbow club between 2000 and 2003.
He formed part of the historic 64 Battalions at Hearts of Oak , the squad that conquered Ghana and Africa clinching the treble in the season of 2000.
At Asante Kotoko , the great Charles Taylor helped the Porcupine Warriors to win the 2003 Ghana Premier League title under head coach Karim Abdul Razak.
“I played all the games that Hearts of Oak played during my three years at the club. I was never benched.” , Charles Taylor told Kumasi-based Fox FM on Tuesday.
“As for the exact number of matches I played for Hearts , I don’t know , I don’t remember because it is not duty to keep all those records as a player. But what I know is that I was never put on the bench at Hearts. I played every single game including the Champions League” , he added.
