AS Monaco Reacts to Ben Yedder’s Alleged Rape Case : This Thursday evening, AS Monaco refused to comment on the rape charges of which their striker Wissam Ben Yedder is the subject.
Wissam Ben Yedder in turmoil. Two young women aged 19 and 20 have filed a complaint and accuse the AS Monaco striker and his brother of sexual assault, according to information from France Info, confirmed on Thursday by RMC Sport.
The alleged facts reportedly place in Beausoleil on Monday during an evening in the Alpes-Maritimes.
“AS Monaco has learned of the information published this day about Wissam Ben Yedder, said the Principality club in a statement. The case being subject to legal proceedings, the club is not able to Comment. ”
He was sanctioned by the Spanish justice for tax fraud.
Aged 32, Ben Yedder made his professional football debut in Toulouse before joining the Spanish Sevilla FC club in 2016, where he confirmed his full potential. Back in France in 2019, under the colors of ASM, he has 19 selections in the French team, for which he scored three goals.
In April, he was sentenced by the Seville court to six months suspended prison sentence and a fine of 133,798.70 euros for tax fraud. Ben Yedder was present on July 3 for the resumption of training in Monaco where a new coach, the Austrian Adi Hütter, officiates this season.
