Afriyie Barnieh Makes First Biggest Impact at FC Zurich : Former Hearts of Oak attacker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh made his first biggest impression since joining FC Zurich as he netted a superb brace on Saturday night during a Week Three encounter of the 2023/24 Swiss Super League.
The Ghana striker failed to make a big tournament at the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
FC Zurich won 3-0 at home against Lugano as Barnieh scored in the 68th and 76th minutes before DR. Congo international Jonathan Okita made it 3-0 ten minutes from time.
It is the first biggest impact the Ghanaian player has made for his Swiss team after joining from Hearts of Oak earlier this year.
Zurich are top of the Swiss League table with 7 points taken from 3 matches.
