Medeama Held at Home by Accra Lions on Wednesday : Medeama SC failed to win their first game of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season as they were held at home by Accra Lions on Wednesday.
The reigning Ghana champions open their league account today due to their CAF Champions League match against Horoya AC last Sunday ; a game in which they won by 3-1.
The Yellow and Mauves conceded the first goal of the game in the 20th minute as Samuel Gyimah netted before new signing Daniel Lomotey equalized for the team of Augustine Evans Adotey in the second half.
Ali Mohammed restored the lead of Accra Lions in the 80th but Black Stars attacker Jonathan Sowah equalized four minutes later as the match ended 2-2 at the Akoon Park.
