Cameroon to play Jamaica

Cameroon to play Jamaica : As it is tradition, the Cameroon national team will play one last match in Yaoundé, before leaving for the World Cup in Qatar and Jamaica is the expected opponent.

The Indomitable Lions will play a goodbye match on November 9th at the Complexe d’Olembé stadium in Yaoundé.

This will be the last friendly match for the Indomitable Lions before leaving for Qatar where Rigobert Song and his players will take part in the World Cup finals.

The announcement for this Jamaica match was made on Monday, ahead of the friendly match between Cameroon and South Korea on Tuesday in Seoul.

Cameroon are one of the most respected African national teams at the FIFA World Cup after becoming the first African side to reach the quarter-finals of the global competition in 1990 – a feat only repeated by Senegal in 2002 and Ghana in 2010.

The Indomitable Lions are in the same group as Brazil , Switzerland and Serbia. They open their tournament account against Switzerland on November 24th , come up against Serbia on November 28th before taking on Brazil on December 2nd.
