Full Time – Nations FC 2 Asante Kotoko 2 : Ashanti derby produces a 4-goal thriller as Kotoko fans cause mayhem in Abrankese !

Irate Kotoko Fans Destroy Dr. Kwame Kyei Stadium Seats :  Irate fans of Asante Kotoko caused mayhem at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex as they dismantled plastic seats at the stadium to protest against the decision of referee Abdul Latif Qadir to award a penalty against the Porcupine Warriors during the Ashanti derby against Nations FC. 

The Week Six clash ended 2-2.

Kotoko left back Nana Bayin Amoah was adjudged to have handled the ball during injury time as the FIFA referee pointed to the spot to award a penalty to Nations FC.

Kotoko fans who were behind the Danlad Ibrahim’s goal reacted by damaging the seats and throwing them onto the pitch to register their displeasure.

When the troubles stopped , Amidou Diarra successfully converted the penalty to make to make it 2-2.
