Aboubakar Ouattara’s Future Uncertain as Hearts of Oak Conducts End of 2023/24 Season Review

The future of Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara is uncertain ahead of the upcoming season as the club review the 2023/24 campaign that saw the Phobians avoid relegation by the skin of their teeth.

The Ivorian trainer took over the head coach role at Hearts in February 2024 when Dutch manager Martin Koopman was sacked.

Ouattara then completed the season as one of Hearts of Oak’s poorest Ghana Premier League campaigns, finishing 14th in the 18-club league with 45 points.

There has been ceaseless pressure on the club’s management to part ways with Aboubakar Ouattara following the team’s 2-1 loss to Asante Kotoko in the Democracy Cup last Wednesday.

However, Hearts of Oak announced on Friday morning an end of season review has started ahead of the upcoming Ghana Premier League season that commences on 6th September, 2024.

It is therefore unclear whether the expatriate coach will continue or a new boss will take charge of the Continental Clubs Masters for the 2023/24 season.
