All Blacks Defeat Kotoko in Kumasi: Swedru All Blacks United produced a crucial 2-1 victory over Asante Kotoko S.C. at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday, May 24, 2026, a result that confirmed their survival in the Ghana Premier League.

Kotoko went ahead just before half-time when Hubert Gyau’s effort was turned into his own net, giving the hosts a narrow lead at the break.

However, Swedru All Blacks responded strongly after the restart, with Rudolf Mensah levelling the score in the 56th minute.

William Danquah struck in the 68th minute to complete the comeback and secure all three points for the visitors.

The result saw Asante Kotoko finish the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season in tenth place with 46 points, while Swedru All Blacks ended 11th, narrowly avoiding relegation in a tightly contested campaign.

The Ghana Football Association is expected to publish the official 2025/26 Ghana Premier League standings now that the season has ended.

Both sides showed moments of quality throughout the match, but the visitors were more clinical in key attacking phases, punishing defensive lapses from Kotoko in the second half to complete a vital turnaround in their survival bid.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will reflect on an inconsistent campaign that ended far below expectations for the former champions. They will look to rebuild ahead of next season as pressure mounts in Kumasi.
