Demba Ba Buys Club : Former Senegalese international Demba Ba has bought a second-tier football club Amitié FC.
“I don’t know if you are aware, but yes I bought a club which is based in the Thiès region and which plays in the second division. It is this club that I am in the process of developing and these infrastructures will allow us to be able to achieve excellence. In football, if you want to reach the top level, you need good infrastructure,” said the former striker of the Teranga Lions as quoted by wiwsport.com.
The objective of the former Chelsea striker is clear. That is to participate in the development and influence of Senegalese football. Back in Senegal after hanging up his boots in 2021, Demba Ba has become a sports leader and has decided to invest in his country.
The native of Sèvres has thus decided to help young people pursue their dream of becoming professional footballers.
With the partnership obtained with the Town Hall of Malicounda, Demba Ba launched the construction of a Football Academy located in Roff.
