Tamale City Held : The Aliu Mahama Stadium witnessed a four-goal thrilling encounter between Tamale City and Berekum Chelsea on Friday during Week 6 of the betPawa Ghana Premier League.
The Tamale boys were hoping to claim their first win of the season but Chelsea scored a last minute goal to wrap up the game for a 2-2 draw.
Kalou Ouattarra put Chelsea in the lead when he scored in 18th minute before the 30th minute equalizer from Raphael Essien for the home team.
Tamale City, however, came from behind to take the lead in the second half but the search for their first win failed when the visitors cancelled out Isaac Mensah’s 55th minute strike in the 90th minute thanks to Mezack Afriyie who netted his 4th goal of the season.
The draw leaves the newly promoted side at the 17th position in the relegation zone.
