Southampton : Salisu and Kamaldeen to work under new coaches as manager Nathan Jones is sacked

Southampton Sack Nathan Jones : English Premier League side Southampton have parted ways with manager Nathan Jones , the club has confirmed on Sunday.

Southampton who count two Ghana internationals(Mohammed Salisu and Kamaldeen Sulemana) on their roster are bottom of the Premier League table with just 15 points after 22 matches contested. They have recorded 4 wins , 3 draws and 15 losses.

Jones succeeded Ralph Hasenhuttl in November 2022 but failed to bring any significant progress to the team prompting the club to issue another sack letter.

Black Stars winger Kamaldeen was part of the last batch of players signed by The Saints with Jones in charge of manager.

A club statement read as follows :

Southampton Football Club can confirm it has parted company with Men’s First Team Manager Nathan Jones.

First Team Coaches Chris Cohen and Alan Sheehan have also left the club.

First Team Lead Coach Rubén Sellés will take charge of training and prepare the team ahead of next weekend’s game against Chelsea.
