Zerbo on Kotoko’s Wastefulness : Asante Kotoko defeated Bechem United by a single goal at the Babayara sports stadium on Wednesday afternoon during Week 19 of the betPawa Ghana Premier League and Kotoko head coach Seydou Zerbo has complained about his team’s wastefulness in front of goal.
Midfielder Enock Morrison scored the only goal of the encounter in the 21st minute and was voted Most Valuable Player of the match.
Kotoko coach Zeydou Zerbo in his official post-match interview admitted the profligacy of the Porcupine Warriors.
“Effectively like I said we came into the game to win it because we drew them in the first round and so we needed to win this match.” Seydou Zerbo said.
“My players played very well. We created many chances but we could only score one goal but we thank God and it is good to learn” the former RC Kadiogo head coach added.
The defending league champions travel to the capital for the Super Clash against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
Kotoko are second on the league table , five points behind leaders Aduana Stars whilst Hearts of Oak who were defeated by Great Olympics yesterday at the Accra sports stadium are 6th on the league log after match-day 19.
